About Me

Hi! My name is Tasha and I am a food loving, globe-trotting writer, with three silly dogs, one spoiled kitty, one mischievous horse, and one sweet husband. A lifelong expat, my family and I are back living in Saudi Arabia, which is where I was born.

Through this website I want to share all of my favorite recipes and most scrumptious creations. I firmly believe food should be celebratory, fun, and above all delicious. Life is short and I don’t want to miss a single bite!

Some of you may remember me as ‘The Voracious Vegan’. Unfortunately, 3 years as a vegan left me with a myriad of deficiencies that had me suffering from serious health problems for the first time in my life. I learned the hard way that not everyone can thrive on a exclusively vegan diet. After many months spent trying everything I could think of and going from doctor to doctor, I was forced to give up my vegan diet. Reverting back to my omnivorous ways rapidly restored my health and I’m now fully healed and better than ever. (To read more about my vegan journey click here.) While I’m no longer a vegan, I still want to chronicle all of my tasty adventures and culinary escapades  – my life is yummy and I want to share!

Currently, I am working as a free-lance writer and I’m in school to finish up my master’s degree in political science. I love to exercise and you can often find me working up a sweat at the gym, riding my horse, or out hiking in the desert with my pack of pups.

I look forward to getting to know all of you and the stories and inspirations we might share. Have fun, be happy, get cooking!

“Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all.”
